Kisspeptin-10
An endocrine nudge when labs support.
SC injection — 10–50 mcg SC injection nightly in cycles (e.g. 2 weeks on, 1 week off); ~2 mg vial for 1 month cycle; dosing per physician with lab monitoring
What It Is
Kisspeptin-10 is a peptide that stimulates the hypothalamus to release GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone), thereby increasing LH/FSH and downstream testosterone or estrogen production.
Mechanism
Kisspeptin stimulates the hypothalamus to release GnRH, which boosts LH/FSH and subsequently testosterone or ovulation. This provides an "endocrine nudge when labs support" — basically a way to naturally coax the body's hormones up rather than using exogenous hormones. Low-dose hCG mimics LH to support testosterone in men or corpus luteum function in women. Kisspeptin-10 is given SC nightly in cycles (e.g. 2 weeks on, 1 week off).
How Dr. Emer Uses It
Used primarily in men with borderline-low testosterone who want a boost in fertility or testicular function (as an alternative to hCG) and in some women with HSDD tied to hormonal suppression (e.g. oral contraceptives) to nudge their estradiol/testosterone. In the "50-Year-Old Male, Metabolic Reset Archetype," Kisspeptin-10 (modest dose 2x/week) is used to nudge his testosterone upward naturally, because caloric restriction from tesofensine often lowers testosterone. For men with borderline-low T avoiding TRT.
Key Benefits
- ✓Stimulates hypothalamic GnRH release to boost LH/FSH and downstream hormones
- ✓Natural testosterone support in men with borderline-low T without exogenous hormones
- ✓Supports fertility and testicular function as an hCG alternative
- ✓Nudges estradiol/testosterone in women suppressed by oral contraceptives
- ✓Prevents testosterone decline during caloric restriction/weight loss protocols
- ✓Improves libido, vaginal lubrication, and general sexual well-being in those deficient

Safety & Considerations
Off-label research peptide. Only stack with proper MD oversight and lab monitoring. Too high dose can cause nausea (some overlap with melanocortin pathways). Generally safe short-term. Needs to be paused if attempting pregnancy (just as a precaution, though it may actually aid fertility, it is not fully studied). Not individually priced on menus; often included in program.
