LL-37
Antimicrobial signal to quell autoimmune skin flares.
SC injection; topical — Dosing individualized by physician; used in combination immune stacks; specific clinical dosing per protocol design
What It Is
LL-37 is a cathelicidin-family antimicrobial peptide — one of the body's natural first-line defense molecules. It fights microbes and may quell autoimmune skin flares.
Mechanism
LL-37 (cathelicidin) fights microbes and may quell autoimmune skin flares. It has antimicrobial properties against bacteria, fungi, and some viruses, as well as immunomodulatory effects that can reduce inflammatory skin conditions. It interacts with immune cells and can modulate TLR signaling pathways, both fighting infection and dampening inappropriate inflammatory responses in skin.
How Dr. Emer Uses It
In the Peptide Stacks table (EmerGPT Clinical Reference), LL-37 is listed under the "Autoimmune & Immune Boost" category alongside Thymosin α-1 and Humanin. It is used in patients with autoimmune conditions (e.g. lupus, psoriasis) or frequent infections. Its role in Emer's RE:SKN protocols is as an immune modulator for skin conditions with autoimmune or inflammatory drivers. It is deployed alongside Ta1 in the immune boost stack for patients who need both pathogen defense and inflammatory control.
Key Benefits

Safety & Considerations
Limited robust human clinical data for injectable LL-37 in wellness settings. Topically it is safe (present naturally in skin). Injectable use is experimental; obtain informed consent. Monitor for local reactions. Avoid in patients with very active autoimmune flares without medical supervision. Used in Emer's protocols with physician oversight and monitoring.
